SNEAKER DEVELOPMENT
At Compound, we are dedicated to creating stylish and eco-friendly shoes. We focus on repurposing materials, particularly recycled motorsport tyre rubber, to craft our footwear. Our goal is to address the global waste crisis by utilizing pre-existing materials, reducing our reliance on virgin materials, and minimizing environmental impact. Through our innovative approach, we aim to contribute to sustainability in the fashion industry and support motorsports in their efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Each of our products is designed with both quality and environmental responsibility in mind, offering a unique blend of performance and sustainability.

Our design team begins by sketching innovative and fashionable shoe designs. These drawings are inspired by the aesthetics and durability required in motorsport, ensuring our footwear is not only stylish but also robust and comfortable. It all starts with the pen...
02
SOURCING AND SHREDDING
We collect used tyres from various motorsport events, such as Formula 1 and GT racing. These tyres are shredded into smaller rubber chunks, making it easier to handle and process them further.
03
POWDERISING
The shredded rubber chunks are then ground into a fine powder. This powder is essential for the injection moulding process, allowing us to form durable and high-quality soles for our shoes.
04
INJECTION MOULDING
The powdered rubber is used in our injection moulding machines to create the soles of our shoes. This process ensures that the soles are consistent in quality, offering excellent grip and durability, ideal for both casual wear and active use.
05
FINAL ASSEMBLY
The last stage involves assembling the various components of the shoe, including the eco-leather uppers and the newly formed rubber soles. Our team meticulously assembles each pair, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and sustainability.
